Increasing Clouds Saturday, Unsettled Sunday
Clouds will gradually increase Saturday with highs in the mid 40s. Clouds will thicken Saturday night with a wintry mix developing late northwest of Charlotte, in the foothills and mountains. Any wintry mix will quickly transition to rain Sunday morning and linger throughout the day. Showers will gradually taper off late Sunday. Most areas will see between a half inch to an inch of rain. Areas that see snow will see minor accumulations, best chance for accumulating snow early Sunday will be areas at and above 3,500 feet. Gradually warming temperatures and dry conditions return early next week before our next chance for rain arrives Wednesday.
