SALISBURY, N.C. — Police say a 9th grader was charged with threatening to ‘shoot up’ Salisbury High School.
Investigators say the student made the threat on Facebook. The investigation started after someone threatened to shoot up a SHS school. Police determined the post was originated in Ohio.
The 14-year-old charged in this case reportedly changed an old Facebook account to mirror the post about the SHS school but specifically identified the school he was going to target as Salisbury High School.
The student was charged with anonymous or threatening communication to the school.
No other details have been released at this time.
