Wilson’s World: Subway’s Coaches vs. Cancer Event Wrapping Today
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Today is the last day to visit your local Charlotte area Subway Restaurant to help with their Coaches vs Cancer program. Wilson was at the Subway at 6133 South Blvd where he not only enjoyed a fresh made breakfast wrap, but he also gave us a little more information on the American Cancer Society’s Coaches vs Cancer program.
Coaches from UNC-Charlotte, Appalachian State, Davidson College and Winthrop University have teamed up with their local area Subway Restaurants to help The American Cancer Society with their Coaches vs Cancer program. Money raised in Charlotte and vicinity will go to support services for cancer patients in their areas.
Charlotte resident and cancer survivor Tamara Smith talked with Wilson about her battle with cancer, how the American Cancer Society helped her and how giving back to ACS continues to help her.
Today is the last day for the Coaches vs Cancer program so they are working hard for a final day push. Stop by your local Subway restaurant today and donate when you check out. The Coaches vs Cancer program is a national program where local monies go back into each community that participates. More information on the Coaches vs Cancer program can be found on the American Cancer Society website at HERE.
