HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — The man accused of threatening to shoot up a school in Huntersville had his bond reduced in court Friday.
Police say they arrested Michael Buck for threaten to carry out a school shooting. Buck has been charged with making a false report concerning mass violence at an educational facility. He was initially being held on a $1M bond.
During his court hearing Friday afternoon, a judge said Buck could be released on a written promise to appear in court. However, officials with the District Attorney’s Office revisited the case and made Buck appear before the court once again. At that time a new bond of $50,000 was set.
Buck is still in the Mecklenburg County Jail.
