CONCORD, N.C. — Police say they arrested wrestling superstar Jeff Hardy for driving drunk in Concord.
Hardy is accused of wrecking his vehicle on Concord Parkway South just off Bruton Smith Boulevard just after 8pm on March 10th.
Police say his vehicle ran off the road and struck a guardrail. Hardy was charged with driving while impaired. A police report says the accident caused approximately $5,000 damage to his vehicle.
Hardy, 40, is from Cameron, North Carolina and currently wrestles in the WWE.
The WWE released the following statement following Hardy’s arrest:
“Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions. We are investigating the matter and awaiting information from local law enforcement officials.”
