Man Charged With Breaking Into Vehicle At Carolinas Medical Center

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say they arrested a man for breaking into a vehicle at Carolinas Medical Center.

Investigators believe Frederick Sanders stole a portable paint sprayer, valued at $3,000, from a vehicle parked in the parking lot of the hospital on Feb. 25th.

During the investigation, Sanders was identified as a suspect and warrants were signed for his arrest.  On March 20th, Sanders was arrested at his home on Whittington Street.

Officers say they also linked Sanders to a stolen vehicle that was located on McDonald Avenue.  Sanders has been charged with felony larceny, breaking and entering a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of stolen goods.

Detectives are currently reviewing similar larceny cases and additional charges may be forthcoming.
