CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Officials say it took more than 50 firefighters to get a large apartment fire under control in east Charlotte.
The fire happened around 6am at the Stone Gate Apartments on Southwood Oaks Lane. It took approximately 40 minutes for crews to extinguish the fire.
There is no word on what caused the fire at this time. No injuries were reported.
