Police Arrest Four Teens For Their Involvement In Several Robberies And A Shooting In Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say they arrested four teens for their involvement in several robberies and a shooting in Charlotte.

Investigators say William Allison, Chavis Davis, a 15-year-old male juvenile and a 14-year-old male juvenile are facing serious felony charges.

Details on the robberies:

  • On Friday, March 16, 2018, at 11:42 a.m., North Division officers responded to an armed robbery from person call for service in the 5300 block of Elderbank Drive.  When officers arrived on scene they spoke with the victim who stated that he was working in the yard of a residence when a suspect approached him from behind and brandished a firearm. The suspect took the victim’s wallet before leaving the scene in a vehicle.  The victim was not injured.  (Detectives charged Allison, Davis, the 15-year-old male juvenile and the 14-year-old male juvenile were charged in this case)

 

  • On Sunday, March 18, 2018, at 10:21 a.m., Hickory Grove Division officers responded to the 6300 block of Albemarle Road in reference to an assault with a deadly weapon call for service.  Upon arrival, officers located a male victim with an apparent gunshot wound.  Witnesses told officers on scene that the victim was in the parking lot when he was approached by four male suspects.  During the robbery, one of the suspects shot the victim before fleeing the scene with the victim’s cell phone and wallet.  (Detectives charged Allison, Davis, the 15-year-old male juvenile and the 14-year-old male juvenile were charged in this case)

 

  • On Thursday, March 22, 2018, at 1:57 p.m., North Division officers responded to an armed robbery from person call for service in the 6300 block of Beatties Ford Road.  When officers arrived, the three victims stated that they were at the park when three suspects approached them whole armed with handguns.  The suspects took cell phones and money before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.  (Detectives charged Davis, the 15-year-old male juvenile and the 14-year-old male juvenile were charged in this case)

During the investigations, police say they signed warrants for Allison’s arrest in reference to the shooting that happened on Albemarle Road.  Allison was interviewed and charged.  Detectives say they also identified the other suspects in the case.

At the conclusion of the interviews, Allison was charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Assault with a Deadly Weapon with the Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury, Felony Conspiracy, Resisting Arrest, and Misdemeanor Larceny.  Davis was charged with four counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, two counts of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Assault with a Deadly Weapon with the Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury and Felony Conspiracy.  Both Allison and Davis were transported to the Mecklenburg County Jail after being interviewed.

Both the 15-year-old and the 14-year-old male juveniles were charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Assault with a Deadly Weapon with the Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury and Felony Conspiracy and transported to a juvenile detention facility.

Detectives are reviewing similar cases to determine if these suspects are responsible for any other robberies and additional charges are pending.  Any further information concerning these cases will be released by the Public Affairs Office.
