CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating a shooting in west Charlotte, where two people were shot, including a pregnant woman, just after 12pm on Alice Avenue near Tuckaseegee Road.
The victims walked to Effingham Road where one male and one pregnant female victim were taken to a local hospital, according to police. One of the victims has life threatening injuries.
Shortly after the shooting a vehicle was seem driving erratically in the area. A pursuit ensued and lasted for more than 30 minutes. The suspects, Reco Perry and Tahjah Quarles, finally jumped from the vehicle while in Gaston County and were taken into custody in a wooded area.

Perry and Quarles are both facing the following charges: two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, felony conspiracy, battery of an unborn child and resisting arrest. Police say Perry was driving the vehicle during the pursuit and will be facing additional traffic charges.
Police say the victims and the suspects are known to each other.
