Registration Now Open For Carolina Panthers Moms’ Football Clinics

CHARLOTTE, NC — Registration is now open for the Carolina Panthers popular Moms’ Football Clinic program, which has been expanded to four markets in the Carolinas.

Clinics will be held at Bank of America Stadium, Greer (SC) High School, Appalachian State University and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Each event will include a $250 donation to the school or organization with the highest number of participating moms.

The clinics will be held in conjunction with USA Football, the national governing body of the sport and the Panthers’ youth football development partner. The program will provide the latest in player safety information, as well as practical information designed to enhance knowledge of the sport.

Moms will receive expert instruction and hands-on learning for the following Heads Up Football elements through both classroom and on-field instruction:

Equipment Fitting

  • Proper helmet and shoulder pad fitting

Concussion Recognition & Response

  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention concussion recognition and response protocols

Heat and Hydration

  • Heat and hydration safety measures set forth by the Korey Stringer Institute at the University of Connecticut

Shoulder Tackling

  • USA Football’s Shoulder Tackling technique, endorsed by medical and football experts, teaches the core principles of proper tackling and helps set a new standard in player safety

The clinics will take place at the following locations on the specified date and times:

  • May 31 at Greer High School
    • 6 pm – 8 pm
      • Greer HS Auditorium/practice field
  • June 18 at UNC – Chapel Hill
    • 6 pm – 8 pm
      • Tar Heels team meeting room/ Kenan Memorial Stadium field
  • June 21 at Appalachian State University
    • 6 pm – 8 pm
      • Mountaineers Room/Kidd Brewer Stadium field
