Wilson’s World: Directing Traffic at Circle K’s Classroom Central Supply Drive

Classroom Central and Circle K Supply drives continues at Classroom Central on Wilkinson Blvd until 3pm today.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. –   Wilson was at Classroom Central on Wilkinson Blvd helping direct traffic during their Circle K Supply Drive.  Wilson was also giving away tickets to the All Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 19th for donors dropping off items.  The supply drive runs until 3pm today and tickets for the All Star Race will be given away while supply lasts.

Although another school year is almost over, teachers are still in need of supplies for their classrooms and that means that Classroom Central continues to stock their shelves.  The major supply need they have currently is for pencils. Classroom Central is trying to collect over 83,000 pencils for the the students use during the end of year test time.

As part of National Teacher Appreciation week Circle K will be giving away a 2018 Toyota Camry to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg teacher on Thursday, May 24th on stage at Circle K Speed Street in Uptown Charlotte.  Two runners-up will win free gas for a year and one very deserving student will win a scholarship.

The mission of Classroom Central is to give students who live in poverty the school supplies they need to succeed in the classroom.  Classroom Central covers schools in Charlotte Mecklenburg, Gaston, Iredell/Statesville, Union, the City of Kannapolis, and Lancaster, S.C.  To find out more about Classroom Central and how you can help go to their website at classroomcentral.org.
