Wilson’s World: Kicking of Today’s 2018 Circle K Speed Street with Classroom Central

CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  Wilson was in Uptown Charlotte this morning as the streets are getting ready for one of Charlotte’s biggest parties, the annual Circle K Speed Street Festival presented by Coca Cola.

Circle K has been partnering up with Classroom Central to not only help get their shelves restocked with supplies, but they are also giving away a brand new car to a high school teacher as well as scholarships to 30 local students.  The car and the scholarships will be awarded tonight.

The Circle K Speed Street Festival gets underway at noon today.  With vendors covering everything from food and beverages to headache powders, a kid’s zone and music…Uptown Charlotte will be hopping.  Many of the NASCAR drivers will also be at the festival.

With the exception of the Friday and Saturday night music performances on the Coca Cola stage, all Speed Street activities are free to the public.  For more information on the concert line-up and to purchase tickets, click HERE.
