Wilson’s World: Taking a Road Trip to the Cape Fear Museum in Wilmington

The Cape Fear Museum of History and Science is located on Market Street in Wilmington, North Carolina

WILMINGTON, N.C. –  Wilson and Mike hit the road today to visit the Cape Fear Museum of History and Science in Wilmington.

Beginning as a one room museum in 1898, the museum is now managed by New Hanover County and includes over 52,000 items that explore the Cape Fear area’s history, science and cultures.

Amy Magnus with the museum took Wilson on a tour through some of the exhibits including the photographs of Claude Howell, activities and fun history of Wilmington, the Michael Jordan Discovery Gallery and the exhibit of the film history of the Cape Fear Area.  Wilson was surprised at some of the movies and TV shows that have been filmed in the area.

The museum is open 7 days a week.  Find out more about the museum at capefearmuseum.com.  Make your trip to Wilmington a weekend of fun.  Check out everything Wilmington and the Cape Fear area offers, including beaches, parks and shopping at wilmington-nc.com.
