Woman Wanted In Connection To Concord Carjacking, Kidnapping Arrested In V.A.
A woman wanted in connection with a Concord carjacking and kidnapping has been arrested in Virginia, according to the Concord Police Department.
Laura Fleming was arrested in Pulaski, Virginia where she is awaiting extradition proceedings before being returned to North Carolina.
Fleming is charged with First Degree Kidnapping and Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.
Police have issued warrants on Laura Fleming, 37, for her roll in a carjacking and kidnapping that took place at a QuikTrip early Tuesday morning.

CONCORD, NC — A man is facing multiple charges after allegedly carjacking, kidnapping, and sexually assaulting a woman early Tuesday morning.
Police say Dustin Bowman was arrested at his Stratford Road home in Archdale, NC around 5pm. According to investigators, Bowman forced a woman into the passenger seat of her vehicle at a QuikTrip on George W. Liles Parkway around 3am and drove off.
Bowman, the victim, and a friend, Laura Fleming, who was accompanying Bowman drove north on I-85 until they reached Archdale. The victim was finally able to call for help, police say, after Bowman and Fleming left her and her vehicle on the side of the road.
The victim also told police she was sexually assaulted by Bowman during the drive.
Investigators say Bowman and Fleming were involved in an accident on I-85 around 11pm Monday night that left their vehicle inoperable. The two suspects were dropped off at the QT around midnight by a wrecker service, and reportedly waited there until the carjacking occurred.
Bowman is charged with 1st Degree Kidnapping, 1st Degree Forcible Sex Offense, and Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.
Investigators are still trying to determine Fleming’s role in the crime. Check back for updates.
