Wilson’s World: Getting Ready for This Weekend’s 17th Annual 24 Hours of Booty
Riders take on the Booty Loop this Friday night at 7pm and finish up Saturday at 7pm.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – In less than 36 hours bikers and walkers will take on the Booty Loop for this year’s 24 Hours of Booty. Wilson was with the 24 Foundation this morning at The Unknown Brewing Company where he was talking with bikers, walkers, and volunteers as they get ready for Friday’s 17th Annual 24 Hours of Booty.
When Wilson previewed last year’s Booty Ride he met Laura Whitaker who talked with him about her fight with cancer. Unfortunately Laura lost her fight but her family and friends still continue to take on the battle for others. But thanks to Laura’s brother, the conversation took on a lighter tone.
Each year 24 Hours of Booty riders come together in Myers Park to raise funds for Levine Cancer Institute, Levine Children’s Hospital, LIVESTRONG Foundation, and Queen’s University. This year’s ride begins at 7pm on Friday, July 27th and concludes at 7pm Saturday, July 28th.
Again this year participants will be able to walk the booty loop. So not only bike riders, but also those who enjoy a good walk can help to fund programs for advancing cancer survivorship and navigation programs.
