Texas Man Arrested With 50 Pounds Of Meth In Catawba County

CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. — Deputies say they found 50 pounds of meth inside a vehicle after making a traffic stop in Catawba County.

Christopher Bryan Salvador Martinez, 41, was reportedly stopped for a traffic violation.  During the traffic stop, deputies say they found probable cause to search the vehicle.  During the search, they discovered 50 pounds of meth, according to a news release.

Martinez was arrested and charged with two counts of felony trafficking meth.  Officials say the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests may be forthcoming.
