LINCOLNTON, N.C. — Officials with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office say an inmate is facing additional child sexual assault charges.
Rey David Blanco-Palmar, 35, was arrested in June of 2017 and charged with indecent liberties with a child, first degree sex offense and kidnapping.

Investigators say on July 6th a detective from St. Charles, Illinois provided information to the Sheriff’s Office about another sexual assault that has been tied to Blanco-Palmar.
The detective claimed a 13-year-old child, who currently lives in Illinois, told authorities she was sexually assaulted by Blanco-Palmar when she was between the ages of six and 12-years-old.
The victim says the incidents happened at Blanco-Palmar’s home in Lincolnton. The suspect is now facing two additional indecent liberties with a child charges. His total bond has been set at $530,000.
