Man Arrested For East Charlotte Murder
Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department say they arrested a man for his involvement in an east Charlotte murder.
Michael DeBerry Jr. has been charged with murdering Philip Young Jr in east Charlotte in July.
Police say they identified DeBerry as a suspect as a result of information and evidence gathered during the investigation.
DeBerry was arrested on August 22nd on Bullard Street in west Charlotte.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — CMPD is investigating a homicide in east Charlotte. Officers were called to Camrose Drive off The Plaza shortly before 1:30pm Tuesday.
Police say 29-year-old Philip Patrick Young Jr. was found lying in the doorway and pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not released any information on suspects, and no arrests have been made.
