Two Men Charged In West Charlotte Shooting That Left One Woman Dead, Another Injured

Detectives with CMPD have charged a second suspect in the murder of Tayzhah Bush. Don’Travius Henderson was arrested Monday morning and charged with murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police have made an arrest after one woman was shot to death and another injured in west Charlotte early Sunday morning.
CMPD has charged 22-year-old James Ratliff with the murder of 20-year-old Tayzhah Bush. Her family has been notified of her death.
The shooting occurred a little after midnight at an apartment in the 500 block of Fairwood Avenue.
Officers located the two women inside the residence suffering from gunshot wounds.
Bush was pronounced dead at the scene. Medic transported the other woman to the hospital.
Ratliff was at the scene when officers arrived. He was arrested, charged and sent to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
