Wilson’s World: The 2nd Annual CBCC 9/11 Blood Drive
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Today’s 9/11 Memorial Blood Drive with the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas is a lot more than a blood drive to remember the attacks on 9/11/2001. Due to the impending arrival of Hurricane Florence blood drives across the southeast have been cancelled and blood donation centers will be closed so the the need for blood will be even greater.
Wilson was with the CBCC mobile donation bus which is at the Harris Teeter at 2717 South Blvd where the blood drive was already in full swing with Charlotteans stopping in to donate. The drive at Harris Teeter is scheduled to run through 10:30am this morning.
Although the drive is scheduled only for today, it is important for more people to come into the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas location at 4447 South Blvd.
You can find out more information on the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas on their website at cbcc.us or follow them on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
