Woman Stabbed To Death In West Charlotte; Suspect And Victim Identified

The victim has been identified as 48-year-old Tracy Lavette Hudson-Glenn.

Detectives have charged 45-year-old Leigh McDaniel Jr. with Hudson-Glenn’s murder.  Police say the suspect and victim are known to one another.

The case is still under investigation and more information will be released as it develops.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —  The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating after a woman was stabbed to death in west Charlotte overnight.

At about 2:36 a.m. Saturday morning, CMPD officers responded to a call in the 400 block of Honeywood Avenue.

Officers located a female victim with a stab wound and Medic pronounced the victim dead at the scene.  Police have not released the name of the victim.

A person of interest was at the scene and detectives are not looking for any other suspects.
