Suspect Charged With Killing Teen Behind Shelby Apartment Complex

Police have charged the man accused of killing 17-year-old Delavin Card at an apartment complex in June.

Jaylin Wilson, 25, is charged with First Degree Murder. Officials say his first court appearance will be Thursday, October 4th.

He is currently being held with no bond.

SHELBY, N.C. — Police are investigating after a teenager was found shot to death behind an apartment complex in Shelby Thursday morning.

On the morning of Thursday, June 21st, officers responded to reports of a man lying behind a complex at 846 W. Warren Street.

Arriving officers and Cleveland County EMS found Delavin Monroe Card, 17, dead from a gunshot wound.

No arrests have been made and anyone with information should contact the Shelby Police Department or if they
