Power Outages, Flooding Persist in Mountains, Foothills

LINCOLN COUNTY, NC — Power outages persist in the mountains and foothills Friday due to Tropical Storm Michael.

In Lincolnton, Rosie Holt’s home flooded when Lippard Creek rose past bridges at Asbury Church Rd. and McCorkle Rd.

In Caldwell County, Yadkin River Rd. was one of the worst-hit areas.

Flash flooding hit the flood-prone areas in the Mountains.
