Wilson’s World: Enjoying a “Witches Brew” with Girls Scouts, Enderly Coffee and Second Harvest Food Bank
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Girl Scouts Hornets’ Nest has teamed up with WCCB Charlotte’s CW to support Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina to help those in need and become a Superhero to a Hungry Child. Wilson was with members of both groups this morning at Enderly Coffee not only talking about their campaign but also to enjoy a cup of Enderly’s special “CW Charmed Witches Brew” coffee. And they even had a special guest superhero make a special appearance.
There are over 527,000 people in our region living at or below the poverty line. Over 188,000 are children at risk of going hungry every day. But each of us can make a difference with a simple donation today.
The Girls Scouts have placed bags around homes in the Matthews area that they are asking families to fill with canned foods and dry goods and leave outside their door for the girls to pick up this Saturday. If you didn’t get a bag, you can still drop off food donation items at Crown & Cross Lutheran Church 300 Pineville Matthews Road in Matthews on Saturday between 9am and 1pm. Monetary donations are needed as well and if you can’t make it by the food drive and would like to donate, please go to the WCCB’s donation link HERE.
Enderly Coffee and WCCB are excited about the new season on the CW with shows such as Supergirl and Riverdale and of course the new Charmed. And to celebrate, Enderly Coffee has created a new “witches brew” coffee that will be available at their location at 2620 Tuckaseegee Road for the next two weeks.
