Storms Worsen Major Erosion Behind New Denver Homes

DENVER, NC– A landslide behind Denver homes is causing concern.

The erosion is happening behind the brand new homes at the Villages of Denver neighborhood.

Workers are trying to grow grass and build up dirt to stop it, but rain from two tropical storms in a

month have caused even more problems, the contractor says.

“I just hope it comes to some kind of resolution because these are our neighbors, and we want to make sure that everyone is safe and everybody has the dream home that we were lucky enough to get, ” said Beth Adkins.

Some say the contractor should have seen this coming and installed retainment walls. They say the contractor, Lennard, is working with families to fix it and is taking more steps to prevent it from

happening at other homes.
