Wilson’s World: Wilson Introduces Us to Artist Val Chan

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson was in SouthEnd this morning where he was introducing us to artist Val Chan and giving us a look at some of her creative and innovative art.

Val has degrees in math and statistics and has worked in desk jobs and teaching.  But she says that her heart had always belonged to the arts so she decided to pursue her passion.  And there is no creative medium that she won’t try. From painting with oils, acrylics and watercolors to knitting, crocheting, jewelry making and even bookbinding…she loves them all.

While checking out her artwork Wilson had the opportunity to do a little creating of his own…not quite up to her work, but he gave it a good try.

Find out more about Val and her work at her website valchanart.com.

Check out Val’s work on Friday, December 7th from 7-10pm when she participates in the annual artists exhibit and open house at C3-Lab 2525 Distribution Street in Charlotte.
