Wilson’s World: It’s Distribution Day for the 2018 Salvation Army Angel Tree

CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  Thanks to the wonderful people in and around Charlotte who chose an Angel, helped WCCB stuff the truck and opened their hearts and wallets, this year’s Subway Salvation Army Angel Tree was a record year!  Not one Angel was left on the tree and the truck was stuffed from front to back.  Today is distribution day of all of those toys and Wilson was more than excited.

Wilson was at the Angel Tree distribution center this morning where the room was filled from wall to wall with more gifts for area children than ever before.  Volunteers with the Salvation Army were busy getting ready for the families to come in later this morning to pick up their gifts.

Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles  and Major Broome with the Salvation Army joined Wilson to talk about the success of this year’s Angel Tree and later he even brought together a member of the Corvette Angels and the CMPD.

A big thanks to all of the partners helping WCCB make the Subway/Salvation Army Angel Tree such a success; including Two Men and a Truck, Acosta Heating & Cooling and of course Subway.
