Wilson’s World: Previewing Charlotte Symphony’s Annual Magic of Christmas Concerts At The Knight Theater

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — With Christmas just around the corner, Wilson is getting into the holiday spirit with some music this morning!

Our festive Wilson was in uptown previewing the Charlotte Symphony’s annual Magic of Christmas concerts at the Knight Theater where talented musicians are busy rehearsing.

Wilson spoke with Christopher James Lees, conductor at the Charlotte Symphony, to learn more about the Magic of Christmas. He even got to see Alex Wilborn with the Charlotte Symphony play the trumpet!

The event filled with joyful, heartwarming, family fun features all your favorite holiday songs, such as “Twas the Night Before Christmas”, “Sleigh Ride” and selections from the “The Polar Express” and “Nutcracker”. You’ll also get to enjoy singalongs with the Charlotte Symphony Chorus and a new piece written just for the Queen City entitled, “Christmastime In Charlotte” by Composer Gary Fry.

This special Christmas song captures all the amazing things that happen in the Queen City and, according to Lees, will “be the next best tradition for the city.”

Guests will get to see some special guests- Santa Claus and his friends. And yes, there will be snow! A fun thing for parents and their children.

The event takes place this weekend, Dec. 21-23 at the Knight Theater in Uptown Charlotte with tickets starting as low as $19. Click HERE to purchase your tickets.
