CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police have charged 33-year-old DeAngelo Olando Morgan with the murder of Nathan Roberts who was found shot in his car in front of his home on Parkway Avenue on Tuesday.
Yesterday, officers located and arrested Morgan at the Mecklenburg County Courthouse.
Morgan was then transferred to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office and charged with murder and discharging a weapon into occupied property.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department says the man who was shot while sitting in his vehicle in front of his west Charlotte residence early Tuesday morning has died.
CMPD officers responded to a call for service in the 3000 block of Parkway Avenue at about 4:29 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
Arriving officers found 37-year-old Nathan Lamont Roberts in his vehicle in the driveway of his residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
MEDIC transported Mr. Roberts to Carolina’s Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 8:33 a.m.
The case is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call 704-432-TIPS and speak directly to a Homicide Unit Detective. Detective Lyon is the lead detective assigned to the case. The public can also call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
