Sunny And Cold Friday, Unsettled Weekend
Friday will be mostly sunny with below average temperatures, highs in the upper 40s. Clouds will increase Friday night into Saturday with highs in the low 40s. Rain will develop late Saturday and linger into Sunday in and around Charlotte. Although there may be a brief period of snow or sleet mixed in with the rain, no accumulations or travel issues are expected. In the foothills and mountains, there will be a better chance for snow/sleet/rain with some accumulations. In the higher elevations, some travel issues can be expected but it will not be a repeat of the December storm. Conditions will gradually improve Sunday into Monday as we dry out.
