Wilson’s World: Enjoying a Little Curling While Talking with Gold Medalist Tyler George

The Charlotte Curling Association will have an open house this Saturday from 10am until 1pm.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson has been visiting the athletes with Charlotte Curling Association for a few years and today he dropped by back at their curling facility to visit with curling gold medalist Tyler George and talk about the association’s upcoming open house.

This Saturday the association will hold a ‘throw-a-rock’ open house event where anyone who is interested in the sport of curling can come by the facility and find out what it is all about. The event will be from 10am until 1pm.  No registration is required. Ages 8 and above are welcome. The family event will include food and both family and adult beverages.  Find out more about the event HERE.

The Charlotte Curling Association, a non-profit organization, was founded in 2010 and currently has over 150 junior, adult, and senior members who have zero to 50+ years of experience and are dedicated to the sport of curling and helping it to flourish in the Charlotte area.

At their facility located at 6525 Old Statesville Road in Charlotte they offer classes for the younger curler as well as curling enthusiasts who have various mental and physical disabilities.  Not only is curling recognized as an official sport in the Olympics but it is also an official sport of the Paralympic Games.
