Gastonia Police Release Surveillance Video Of Possible Suspect In Burglary, Sex Assault Case
Gastonia Police have released a surveillance video possibly showing the suspect wanted in connection to a January 2nd burglary and sexual assault.
The video was taken at the Quail Woods Apartments, police say, which is near the Georgetown Woods Apartments where the crimes occurred. The suspect was reportedly seen checking a sliding glass door and front window around 1:30am on January 6th.

GASTONIA, N.C. — Police in Gastonia released a sketch of a suspect accused of breaking into an apartment and committing a sexual assault.
The incident was reported just after 11pm on January 2nd at an apartment on East Hudson Boulevard in Gastonia.
The suspect, described as a black man dressed in dark clothing and wearing a black toboggan hat, entered the apartment through an unlocked sliding glass door, according to a news release.
No other details on the case have been released. Police advise residents with sliding glass doors to use a ‘Charlie Bar’ or other sliding glass door security bars for extra protection.
