Wilson’s World: MLK Day Celebration 2019 at the Harvey B. Gantt Center
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Today the Harvey B. Gantt Center will again be celebrating the birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. They opened the doors early this morning for Wilson give us a look at some of the exhibits and events that are going on today to celebrate the life of Dr. King. Many of these activities, exhibits and collections are part of the center every day. Today’s activities begin at 9am and continue through 5pm. Admission is free for today only.
Alexys. J. Taylor and Ebone Lockett with joined Wilson to talk about the history that can be found inside the Gantt Center and the exhibits that show this history. Performance historian, Mary D. Williams gave us a sample of the powerful presentation that guests at the center can enjoy today.
