CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Carowinds says one person was injured while inspecting a ride Wednesday morning.
According to a statement from Carowinds, at about 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning, a third-party contractor was injured while inspecting the Windseeker.
The 911 call placed for the incident referenced a high-angle rescue, but emergency management officials say that was not necessary.
Carowinds says the contractor was safely lowered to the ground and immediately transported to the hospital.
Details regarding the nature or severity of the injuries were not immediately available.
Charlotte Fire and Flint Hill Fire assisted with the incident.
