Police have charged a man after a 3-year-old boy accidentally shot the man and himself, in a hotel room, on Friday night.
Detectives say the 3-year-old found the gun unsecured and accidentally fired the weapon.
Davione Marquis Robinson, 19, has been charged with Felony Child Abuse, Storing a Firearm in a Manner Accessible to a Minor, Felony Possession of Cocaine and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

CHARLOTTE, NC — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating after a 3-year-old boy was taken to the hospital Friday night with a gunshot wound.
The shooting happened just after 8pm at a hotel on Old Interstate Road off of Reagan Drive. Police say a 19-year-old male and 3-year-old boy had “graze wounds” from the shooting.
The toddler was taken to the hospital by Medic. Police say his injuries are non-life threatening injuries.
The shooting appears to be accidental at this time, according to CMPD, and no suspects are being sought.
