Man And Woman Accused Of Keeping Teen In Basement, Using Her As Sex Slave

KINGS MOUNTAIN, NC — Authorities in North Carolina have filed charges against a man and a woman after investigators determined a 15-year-old girl was kept in a basement and sexually abused for more than a month last summer.

David Wolfington, 57, and Loretta Wolfington, 38, are both facing multiple charges.

David is charged with Statutory Rape of a Child 15 or under, Statutory Sex Offense with Child 15 or under, Sexual Servitude of a Child Victim, Child Abuse-Sexual Act, two counts of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile and Child Abuse. He has been placed under a $300,000 bond.

Loretta is charged with two counts of Aiding and Abetting a Statutory Sex Offense with Child, Aiding and Abetting Sexual Servitude of Child Victim and Aiding and Abetting Child Abuse-Sexual Act. She has been placed under a $250,000 bond.

Court documents also say a 12-year-old girl was also locked in the basement of the Cansler Street home but was not assaulted.

It’s not known if either of the suspects has an attorney who could comment.
