DEEP GAP, NC — A 17-year-old boy is facing murder charges after authorities say his mother and father were found dead Wednesday night.
The bodies of Jeffrey and Tanya Borlase were found around 10:32pm at their home on Orchard Road, according to the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies say they were responding to the home in reference to a “suspicious incident” when their bodies were found.
Investigators say the incident was determined to be the result of a domestic homicide.
The Borlase’s 17-year-old son, Tristan Borlase, was later located in Johnson County, Tennessee, according to deputies. He was arrested and has been charged with the murder of both victims.
There is no word on when he will be extradited.
