One Dead Following North Charlotte Double Shooting; Victim Identified

The CMPD has identified the victim as 20-year-old Jamil Davis.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating after a double shooting left one person dead in north Charlotte overnight.

On Monday, April 15th, 2019, CMPD officers responded to a call at the intersection of Hidden Valley Road and Sugar Creek Road.  Arriving officers found two men who had been shot.

One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene.  The second victim was taken to Atrium Health with a gunshot wound to his wrist.

CMPD K-9 officers attempted to track the suspects unsuccessfully.  Authorities found a a vehicle parked nearby on Hidden Valley Road at Yuma Street which is believed to be connected to this homicide.
