Carolina Insight: Blumenthal Performing Arts – Charlotte Jazz Festival

Since opening it’s doors in 1992, Blumenthal Performing Arts has become a central hub for theater, art and culture in the southeast. It has showcased everything from Broadway musicals and comedy shows to live concerts and special events. And for the past several years, the performing arts center has hosted the Charlotte Jazz Festival.

This year the festival is presented as part of Charlotte Shout, a celebration of art, music, food and ideas in Uptown Charlotte. We spoke with Blumenthal’s President and CEO about what new and exciting things people can see at the Charlotte Jazz Festival this year and how they are commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Queen City.
