CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have charged two suspects, including a 15-year-old juvenile, in connection to a south Charlotte armed robbery on April 14th.
The robbery happened around 1am on Carmel Road near the Carmel Country Club. Police say three juveniles flagged down a vehicle for a ride, then robbed him at gunpoint.
The victim was reportedly released a short time later and flagged down a passing police car on Sharon Road. The victim was not injured.
Police say Tyler Huff and a 15-year-old juvenile have been identified as suspects in the case.
Huff, 19, was arrested in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on April 22nd. He is charged with assault by pointing a gun, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
The 15-year-old juvenile was reportedly arrested on April 24th after a brief foot chase with CMPD officers, and is charged with possession of handgun by a minor, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, resist/obstruct/delay a law enforcement officer, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
