RALEIGH, N.C. — A Charlotte woman is the first person to win a $1 million prize in the $300,000,000 Supreme Riches lottery game.
Annette Grier bought a $30 ticket at the Grab N Go on York Road in Charlotte. After winning the $1 million prize, Grier chose a $600,000 lump sum over a 20 year annuity of $50,000 per year. Grier took home $424,509 after taxes
The $300,000,000 Supreme Riches game recently began in April and has a top prize of $10 million. Six $1 million prizes can be won instantly and four can be won in second-chance drawings.
The first second-chance drawing will take place on August 7th, 2019. Players have until July 31st to enter their Supreme Riches tickets into the second-chance drawing.
No one has claimed any of the $10 million prizes and five of the $1 million prizes are still outstanding.
