Lyft Offering Discounted Rides For District 9 Residents To Vote In Special Election Primaries

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Lyft is offering discounted rides to residents voting in North Carolina’s Ninth Congressional District primary today.

Voters can use the code VOTENCD9PRIMARY for up to 50% off their ride, up to $5.

“Lyft has always been dedicated to helping North Carolinians enjoy frictionless living through transportation,” said Lyft’s Charlotte Market Manager Lauren Pelletier. “With this offer, we hope to help remedy the transportation challenges that many North Carolinians face, and make it just a bit easier for them to exercise their constitutional right to vote.”

The 9th District includes Union, Anson, Richmond, Scotland and Robeson Counties, as well as a southeast portion of Mecklenburg County and parts of Cumberland and Bladen Counties.

The general election is scheduled for September 10th. If a runoff is required, the general election will be held November 5th.
