Wilson’s World: Joining Purple Heart Homes as They Build a Ramp for an Army Veteran

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson was with Purple Heart Homes today where they were installing a ramp at the home of Army Veteran Lawrence Grandberry and where he found out that when the volunteers with Purple Heart get started, they get the job done quickly.  They had the ramp built before the show was over.

While he was there Wilson presented his most recent ‘Wilson’s Moment of Good Award ‘ to Lawrence.  Drafted into the Army straight out of high school, Lawrence was stationed at both Fort Knox and Fort Bragg before he served in Vietnam.  A big thanks and enormous gratitude to Lawrence for his service to our country.

Purple Heart Homes has expanded 13 chapters in 9 states and will take on about 100 to 125 projects this year.

Purple Heart Homes was founded by veterans, for veterans.  With the help of the community, they work to ensure quality of life housing for  disabled American Veterans of all ages and eras.  To find out more about Purple Heart Homes, donate, volunteer or inquire for a veteran you know that may be in need, go to their website at www.purplehearthomesusa.org.
