MONROE, NC — A Union County man was arrested Saturday after being accused of having sexual relations with an underage teen.
John Bradford, 35, is reportedly facing multiple charges for Statutory Rape of Child, Statutory Sex Offense and Indecent Liberties with a Minor.
Deputies began investigating on Friday after they say the victim’s family filed a report about possible “inappropriate contact” between Bradford and the teen. Investigators say the crimes appear to have taken place multiple times over the past few months.
Bradford and the victim reportedly met through a mutual acquaintance, according to officials.
The investigation is ongoing.
