Wilson’s World: Previewing the 2019 Bojangles’ Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway

This summer's Bojangles' Summer Shootout Series kicks off tonight and runs through Tuesday, July 30th.

CONCORD, N.C. – Wilson was Charlotte Motor Speedway’s frontstretch this morning where he was previewing this summer’s Bojangles’ Summer Shootout. Beginning tonight and continuing each Tuesday for the next 8 weeks, fans can enjoy racing of just about anything you can put on four wheels. Young drivers Trevor Wester and Jason Alder were entertained by Wilson as they talked about this year’s Summer Shootout.

Tonight is school spirit night.  Principle Locke with Bradford Prepatory School is just one of the principles from area schools that will go head-to-head on the track in souped up, painted up…and yes, a little banged up…school buses.  And he is ready to race!   Tonight fans can meet NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace. Gates open at 5pm with the bus race beginning at 7pm.  Tickets are only $8 and kids 13 and under get in free.

From school bus races with principles and pastors, drag racing burnout exhibitions, high heel races (yep, slip on those high heels)  to the Legend car and Bandolero races, there will be something for everyone.  Fans will also get a chance to meet and greet some of their favorite NASCAR drivers during the series.
