CHARLOTTE, NC — Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are looking for three men accused of sexually assaulting a juvenile girl.
The crime happened between 9:30 and 10:45 Thursday night.
Police say the 13-year-old victim had developed a relationship with one of the suspects online and agreed to meet him at a church parking lot on Eastway Drive. When she arrived, the suspect was alone in a car, police say, but another car arrived with him.
The suspect reportedly drove the victim to an unknown apartment complex where he sexually assaulted her. He then left her with two men in the other car, police say, who then also sexually assaulted her.
The two suspects then drove the victim to a nearby convenience store and let her out, according to police. That is when she went inside to call 911.
The solo suspect was known to the victim as “Franko,” according to investigators, and is described as a 19-year-old black or Hispanic male, roughly 5 feet 9 inches tall, thin build, a beard and longer than collar-length hair. Police say he was driving a black two-door Infiniti with gold rims and a NC tag number possibly beginning with HBJ.
Investigators say the victim could not give a good description of the other two suspects, but believe they were driving a grey four-door sedan with black rims, tinted windows and a sun roof.
Anyone with any information about this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
