Investigators: Salisbury Apartment Fire Intentionally Set

SALISBBURY, NC — Investigators say a fire that broke out Friday afternoon at an apartment complex was intentionally set.

The fire happened just after 1:30 p.m. at a multi family residential apartment building on W. Fisher Street. Officials say they were able to extinguish the fire, which was concentrated in the second bedroom of the apartment.

Police and fire are investigating after the blaze was determined to be intentional.

Officials say multiple families in adjoining apartments were impacted by the fire and are being assisted by the Rowan County Red Cross.
