Four Suspects Arrested On Drug, Burglary Charges In Lancaster County
LANCASTER, SC — Deputies say four people are facing several drug and burglary charges following an investigation into stolen property on June 18th.
Dena Orrell, 31, Charles Lee Sims, Jr., 46, William Martin Stanley, 46, and William Patrick Threatt, 46, were each arrested Tuesday for their role in the crimes.
According to investigators, the owners of a Flat Creek Road home reported on June 15th that their home had been burglarized the week before and several collectible “picker” type items were missing.
After an investigation into the claims, authorities say they obtained search warrants for a home on Hilldale Drive. Several of the stolen items were recovered at that location, officials say, and the home’s owners, Orrell and Sims, were taken into custody.
While at the home, deputies say they also found evidence of illegal drugs and obtained additional search warrants for the property.
Agents with the LSCO Drug Task Force executed those warrants and reportedly found 11 grams of Methamphetamine, an Alprazolam pill, a smoking pipe, digital scales and a 9mm pistol with missing a serial number.
Stanley, of Rock Hill, was at the Hilldale Drive home at the time of the search, officials say, and was arrested in connection to those items.
Investigators say the Hilldale Drive search also led deputies to another home on Kershaw Street, where they found additional items reported missing during the Flat Creek Road burglary.
