Police: 2 Injured In Accidental N. Charlotte Shooting

CHARLOTTE, NC — Police say two women are recovering after an accidental shooting Friday night in north Charlotte.

The incident happened around 8:18 p.m. at a home on Rachel Street. CMPD says a group of people were sitting on the back porch when one of them dropped a gun.

The weapon fired and injured two women.

Police say they were transported by Medic and treated for minor injuries, which included a bullet graze or being hit by shrapnel or debris.

The suspect left the scene before officers arrived. They have not yet been identified.
