SHELBY, NC — Police have arrested and charged the suspect they say shot and killed a man on Sunday outside a local bar.
Gavonne Antonio Craig is accused of shooting Joshua McSwain on June 23rd at the Golden Boys Bar on E. Marion Street. He has been arrested, police say, and is being held without bond at the Cleveland County Jail.
Shelby Police say they responded to a shots fired call and found McSwain, 27, in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Atrium Health Cleveland for treatment, but died from his injuries.
Craig, 43, is charged with murder.
